The January transfer market proves to be a period of significant rumour and possible major moves. Several high-profile footballers are being linked with moves away from their current teams. This article explores some of the major names that might be changing clubs this month.

Despite the Black Stars' failure to reach the AFCON, which has left the player available, reports suggest a significant transfer is imminent. This experienced Germany goalkeeper finds himself as third-choice at Barcelona following new manager Hansi Flick. Having fallen out of favour and had an operation, a January departure looks increasingly probable. Villa were once linked as a potential suitor, but that move currently seems unlikely.
